Back in the early 1980s, Fermob and Pascal Mourgue joined forces to put a new twist on this classic item of wooden furniture, bringing it bang up to date and on trend. Together, drawing on the designer’s cabinet-making expertise and the manufacturer’s metalwork know-how, they created a piece that truly stood out from the brand’s other collections. Face à Face was an instant hit, scooping the Grand Prix de la Création award in 1985. Almost 35 years on since it was first released, needs and tastes have evolved beyond recognition. That’s why the 2019 version has been reworked !
