Assam rugs use a checkerboard pattern made of a juxtaposition of knots or in a decor of thick braids that alternate regularly. Available in two sizes (170x240 and 200x300). This rug brings the unique charm of this vegetable and sustainable fiber that is jute, as well as its softness. To make the Assam carpet, the Indian artisans journeymen of the CFOC weave cotton and natural jute fiber on large horizontal looms. It's a long process of precision and patience: they first start with the cotton base, then they add jute.
