After a number of years heading up major design firms, Brigitte Kahane has been practicing EcoDesign Innovation for big corporations and SMEs for over 15 years now. Convinced that EcoDesign is one of the main drivers of innovation for the 21st century, she founded PimliKo, an EcoDesign Innovation firm, in 2007, after undergoing training in eco-design at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts & Métiers and at ARDI. Working with companies and designers every day, informing, training, and supporting them, she created the Observatoire de l'EcoDesign in 2010 (www.observatoire-ecodesign.com). At the same time, she has hosted the "EcoDesign Cafés" in Paris, then the "EcoDesign Forums" at the Lieu du Design, a knowledge-sharing venue that brings together companies, experts, and designers around innovative, practical themes. After having participated in numerous international forums, given many talks for stakeholders in fashion, cosmetics, or industry, and developed projects in home decor, she has, for the past two years, acted as a member of the Panel that selects exhibitors for the "Sustainable Pathway" at Maison & Objet.
