KAROO ANGELS

Our angels are made from locally sourced ostrich feathers and merino wool, combined with fine jewellery wire and glass beads, as well as natural fibres. A Karoo angel is at once both charming, delicate, elegant, and sophisticated -

Some years on this became a story about how small angel decorations, 100% made by hand, could dazzle and charm people all around the world, and put a forgotten village and forgotten people on the map again. In 2015 a craft group in the nearby village Rietbron joined the production of the angels, expanding both craft skills and product ranges. Under the name of Karoo Angels, the two craft groups, together with an energetic and young admin team in the small town of Willowmore, today work together to make the angels fly to all corners of the world.
