NELLY SAUNIER
Nelly Saunier was fourteen years old when she discovered the profession of feather worker. This singular encounter seemed obvious to her and in an overflow of enthusiasm, she instantly knew that her life would be linked to the pen.
In 1981, she completed an apprenticeship in featherwork techniques at the Lycée Octave Feuillet, then completed her training in Applied Arts (Olivier de Serres school). There she perfected her mastery of line to freely express her feelings and enriched herself through contact with other disciplines which nourish her initial technique. In 1989, she joined the Octave Feuillet high school, which called on her skills to teach the art of pen writing and perpetuate it for generations of feather workers.
