The patterns are inspired by motifs usually seen on Lao sinhs, or skirts. The pattern is typically very small, although here we’ve increased the ratio to create a dynamic look. The textile is handwoven using the continuous supplementary weft technique by Tai Lue artisans participating in our Village Weavers Project.
