Ikat, or tie-dye, is a particularly distinctive process used to dye cotton yarns before weaving them on a wooden loom. This method is time-consuming and challenging, but the finished pattern is extremely unique with nicely blend of gradient color. The production process is village-based, and the yarn was dyed with Ebony fruit (The fruit is only available once per year). The finishing was created by joining two pieces of hand-woven cotton wraps with hand embroidered using handspun cotton yarn.
