Silk Eri, silk of peace. An enveloping and generous stole to dress all seasons.Wild silk called Eri, coming from Erinda, the Hindi name for the castor bean that its butterfly feeds on. The cocoon is naturally open for the caterpillar to metamorphosis.The silk is therefore harvested non-violently, without killing the chrysalis, and is thus used by many Buddhist monks. High-quality craftsmanship combines the work of breeders, women who spin silk, and artisans weaving on handlooms in the far north-east of India.Product specifications
