Cushion made from hand-woven nettle fibers and wild silk. Dimensions: 50 x 50 cm. 1 woven nettle side, 1 raw silk side. Saffron-colored silk border. Himalayan nettle (Girardinia diversifolia) grows naturally at altitudes of 1,200 m to 3,000 m in the open forests of the Himalayas. It is an erect grass that can reach 3 m in height. The inner bark is processed locally, hand-formed into yarn and woven. This collection is the result of a social and agricultural micro-development program to support the valorization of natural resources in an eco-design approach.
