When designing Link collection, Junpei & Iori Tamaki envisioned how multiple pieces placed together would create a link, and how that connection would evolve in various ways. To express Link, Junpei & Iori Tamaki believed that a design with both simplicity and distinctive, memorable features was necessary. For the central pieces of the collection, such as chairs and sofas, Junpei & Iori Tamaki adopted a design that emphasizes the contrast between the parts wrapped with rope and those without, set against a simple frame structure.
