The men & women in the fishing villages of Manapla in the Philippines learn how to weave fishnets from a young age, from their ancestors and continue to pass this on to their children. LAYAG (meaning sail) pays tribute to these communities through this design, combining their stories and reflecting their shared culture & traditions. Concentric rattan rings, bound together with cotton cord remind us of the relationships we must foster and the care we must give to people and mother earth.LAMPING: 1 bulb, 60W
