This cabinet comes from a Milan-based scent lab that was founded in 1905 and in 1955 celebrated its first 50 years of activity, also undergoing some renovation. This piece appears to be from the beginning of the century, with some adjustments made later on during its operational life. We can tell the backdrop is not original and the handles and the glass screen were changed. Originally they were most likely round wooden knobs like the ones on the cabinets below. The metal handles look like a late 1950's modification to the original design.
