Swedish Matchbox

Our Swedish matchboxes contain 45 extra long Swedish deluxe matches. Each box is decorated with artwork by Charlotte Nicolin. Our matches are resistant to breakage and have a great striking and ignition performance even under adverse conditions such as high humidity. The Swedish aspen wood is cut into small square wooden sticks, dipped in flame retardant ammonium phosphate before being allowed to dry. The end of the stick is soaked with hot paraffin wax, which will provide a small amount of fuel to the wood, allowing it to burn more easily. Size 6.5 x 11 x 2 cm - 2.6" x 4.3" x 0.8"
