This contemporary design finds inspiration in delicate and colourful flowers growing in the lunar landscape of a volcanic field catching the first glimpses of moonlight at dusk – capturing the bewitching beauty of the landscape at a certain moment in time. This design finds inspiration in photo archives of volcanic landscapes. The 3D effect, a challenge in a handwoven carpet, was achieved using areas of ice-white and -blue flanked by abrashes of grey leading to the volcanic browns of the cracked lava.
